This policy explains what personal data Madatsu TCG collects when you visit or buy from madatsutcg.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible for your data

We are the data controller for the data described here.

2. What we collect

  • Order data: name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number if you give it, the items you bought and the amount paid.
  • Payment data: your card or payment details are handled directly by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Account data: if you create an account, your login details and saved addresses.
  • Contact data: what you write to us by email or through our contact form.
  • Marketing data: your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser, pages viewed and how you reached the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

  • To process and ship your order, and to handle returns and warranty claims. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • To keep accounting and tax records. Legal basis: our legal obligations under Belgian law.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer service. Legal basis: our contract with you, or our legitimate interest in helping you.
  • To send marketing emails. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the shop secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the business.
  • To measure how the site is used and improve it. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the shop:

  • Shopify, which hosts the shop and processes orders.
  • Our payment provider, which processes your payment.
  • Sendcloud and the carrier that delivers your parcel, which receive your name and address.
  • Judge.me, if you leave a product review.
  • Our accountant and the tax authorities, where the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some of these providers process data outside the EEA. When that happens, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another mechanism recognised by GDPR.

6. How long we keep it

  • Order and invoice data: seven years, as Belgian accounting law requires.
  • Account data: until you ask us to delete your account.
  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
  • Emails and support messages: up to two years after the conversation ends.
  • Cookie and analytics data: as set out in our cookie banner.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the data we hold about you,
  • correct data that is wrong,
  • delete your data, where we are not required to keep it,
  • limit how we use it,
  • send your data to another provider,
  • stop using it for direct marketing, at any time,
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest.

Write to madatsutcg@gmail.com and we will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be. If you live in another EU country you can complain to your own authority.

8. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the shop to work, such as keeping your cart and your session. We only place analytics and marketing cookies if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

9. Children

Our shop is not aimed at children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
